Our company was formed in 1998 to acquire Rent Roll, Inc., which marketed and sold on premise property management systems for the conventional and affordable multifamily rental housing markets. In June 2001, we released OneSite, our first on demand property management system. Since 2002, we have expanded our platform to include property management, leasing and marketing, resident services, and asset optimization capabilities. In addition to the multifamily markets, we now serve the single family, senior living, student living, military housing, associations (homeowner and condominium), commercial, hospitality, and vacation rental markets. In addition, since July 2002, we have completed over 45 acquisitions of complementary technologies to supplement our internal product development and sales and marketing efforts and expand the scope of our solutions, the types of rental housing and vacation rental properties served by our solutions, and our client base. In connection with this expansion and these acquisitions, we have committed greater resources to developing and increasing sales of our platform of data analytics and on demand solutions. As part of our strategy, we plan to continue to pursue acquisitions of complementary businesses, products, and technologies.

We are a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on identifying, developing, and commercializing innovative therapies that change patients’ lives for the better. We concentrate on small-molecule therapeutics with novel mechanisms of action for the treatment of severe, life-threatening diseases with few or no approved therapies. Our lead programs are in rare forms of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and a rare neurological disease. We recently announced positive topline data from registrational studies for both of our lead product candidates, bardoxolone methyl (bardoxolone) in patients with CKD caused by Alport syndrome and omaveloxolone in patients with a neurological disorder called Friedreich’s ataxia (FA). Both bardoxolone and omaveloxolone activate the transcription factor Nrf2 to normalize mitochondrial function, restore redox balance, and resolve inflammation. Because mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, and inflammation are features of many diseases, we believe bardoxolone and omaveloxolone have many potential clinical applications. We possess exclusive, worldwide rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize bardoxolone, omaveloxolone, and our next-generation Nrf2 activators, excluding certain Asian markets for bardoxolone in certain indications, which are licensed to Kyowa Kirin Co., Ltd. (KKC).

Retractable Technologies, Inc. was incorporated in Texas in 1994. Our business is the manufacturing and marketing of safety medical products (predominately syringes) for the healthcare industry. We have manufacturing facilities in Little Elm, Texas and use manufacturers in China as well. We have developed several new products in the last few years, including the EasyPoint® needle which can be used with, among other things, prefilled syringes. Our goal is to become a leading provider of safety medical products. Our principal products were designed to protect healthcare workers, patients, and others from needlestick injuries, cross-contamination through reuse, and reduce disposal costs. The VanishPoint® products accomplish these goals by retracting the needle when the plunger handle is fully depressed while the needle is still in the patient. This pre-removal activation virtually eliminates exposure to the contaminated needle, reducing the risk of needlestick injuries. Activation is easily accomplished in one step, using one hand. Upon activation of the retraction mechanism, VanishPoint® products are rendered unusable, reducing the risk of disposal-related injuries or reuse.
